Jember – SMA Negeri 1 Jember has once again solidified its reputation as a leading educational institution by achieving outstanding success in the 2026 Provincial-level National Science Olympiad (OSN-P).
An official announcement released on July 8, 2026, confirmed that the school secured first place among all public high schools (SMA Negeri) in East Java.
In the integrated rankings—which encompass both public and private schools—SMA Negeri 1 Jember successfully secured third place overall in East Java Province.
Key achievements for SMA Negeri 1 Jember in the 2026 OSN-P include:
1. Ranked 1st among public high schools in East Java;
2. Ranked 3rd in the overall standings for public and private high schools (SMA/MA) across East Java; and
3. Successfully qualifying 17 students for the next stage—the highest number of qualifiers in Jember Regency.
Suryadi, the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Jember, stated that the school had been optimistic from the start that its students could achieve this remarkable success.
“From the beginning, I was optimistic that the students of SMA Negeri 1 Jember would qualify and emerge as winners in the East Java Provincial OSN, even though the competition at the high school level is extremely fierce,” he remarked.
Suryadi added that this extraordinary achievement reflects the hard work, persistent spirit of learning, and dedication of the students.
“It also reflects the excellent guidance provided by the supervising teachers and the continuous support from the entire SMA Negeri 1 Jember community,” Suryadi stated.
With these 17 students qualifying, the entire SMA Negeri 1 Jember community extends its prayers and best wishes to the delegates as they prepare to represent East Java at the national level.
